Mutineers and Wolverines to battle for new challenge cup
2019-10-06The Calumet Wolverines and Marquette Mutineers are both lucky enough to play in home arenas that have hosted National Hockey League preseason games as part of Kraft Hockeyville USA.
In memory of those incredible events, and the community that rallied to make it possible the Wolverines and Mutineers are proud to introduce the Hockeyville Challenge Cup.
The two teams will compete for the cup for the first time Saturday night at the Calumet Colosseum with a 7:30 p.m. puck drop. Doors will open for fans at 6:30 p.m., with $1 off all drinks in the Wolverines bar until puck drop. The Wolverines will also be playing Friday night as fans will get introduced to a slew of new Wolverines players and get to see some alumni in action during an intersquad game. Puck will drop at 7:30 that night. All fans are welcome to come out that night to cheer on the teams for just $2. The Wolverines bar will not be open for that contest.
