Pioneers win 4-1 to force game three

The Portage Lake Pioneers scored first, added one in the second and two more in the third period to win Game 2 of the 2018 Gibson Cup Series 4-1 at the Calumet Colosseum.
The Pioneers will now host the Calumet Wolverines in Game 3 of the series on Friday, April 6 at Dee Stadium.
Pioneers goaltender Matt Turunen made 30+ saves in the game, and the Pioneers opportunistic offense finished a slew of goals, including a 2-on-1 late in the third where Charlie Turner found Aaron Sturos to put the team up 4-1 with less than 10 minutes remaining the the game.
