Wolverines second period outburst leads to Game 1 victory

The Pioneers got on the board first with a power play marker, and held 2-0 and 3-1 leads in the game. Calumet scored three straight midway through the second period to take a 4-3 lead into the final frame. The visitors scored an empty net goal in the final minute, and the Pioneers got one back in the final seconds.
