Rastello wins scoring title, Harju named defenseman of the year
2018-03-25Logan Rastello netted 58 points to lead the Great Lakes Hockey League and Josh Harju was voted best defenseman of the year.
It was a highly decorated season for the Calumet Wolverines as the team not only earned the regular season championship, they also earned second place in the GLHL Tournament and had two players earned incredible individual honors.
Rastello had 25 goals and 58 points in just 18 points to lead the league in points. Rastello earned it with a strong finish, including 19 points in the final four games, while earning three. or more points in 11 contests.
Harju had eight goals and 21 points in 16 games while playing an intimidating role on the blue line throughout the season. He was nominated for the role by Wolverines coaching staff, and earned the honor by leading the league in votes by other teams.
