Wolverines win 2018 GLHL Regular Season
2018-03-11For the first time since 2002, the Calumet Wolverines are Great Lakes Hockey League Regular Season Champions. The Wolverines finished the season with a 15-3-0 record after a 15-1 win over Monroe on Friday in Calumet and a 12-2 win over Eagle River Saturday on the road.
With a 13-point weekend Logan Rastello rocketed to the top of the GLHL standings. He now has 58 points in 18 games, seven more than any other player in the league. The Wolverines are off next weekend before hosting the GLHL Tournament March 23-25 and playing for the Gibson Cup March 30 through April 3.

Logan Rastello had six points, Dylan Boberg earned a hat trick and five points, and 16 total players got on the scoresheet as the Wolverines dominated a shorthanded Blues squad. Ryan Patrick earned the win with 14 saves, including seven during the first period.- Calumet 15, Monroe 1 (scoresheet)
Erkkila and Rastello get seven points each as Wolverines beat Falcons
Logan Rastello and Jeff Erkkila each had seven points as the Wolverines put up a 12 spot on the Falcons Saturday night at the Dome. Tyle Loukus and Ed Beiring each had three points, as 10 players got on the board. Ian Carroll made 54 saves to finish his first season with a 7-2-0 record.- Calumet 12, Eagle River 2 (scoresheet)
