Wolverines invite non-profits to benefit from Chuck-A-Puck

2017-12-02

The Calumet Wolverines Senior “A” Hockey Club is seeking non-profit organizations to partner with the Wolverines to host Chuck-A-Puck at each of its more than a dozen home hockey games during the 2017-18 season.

“This is a great opportunity for a non-profit organization to raise money and awareness for their cause,” said Michael H. Babcock, a member of the Wolverines Board of Directors. “We have done this several times over the past couple years, and each time the organization we have partnered with has left with funds raised and new connections made.”

On game day, organizations would need to show up to the game 45 minutes prior to start with at least two people to work at the Chuck-A-Puck table. The Wolverines, in partnership with the Calumet Hockey Association, will provide the pucks, a signup sheet and can provide startup cash for the table.

Chuck-A-Puck would take place between the second and third periods. Fans that purchase pucks from the non-profit organization throw their pucks toward the center dot when instructed, and the fan who lands their puck closest to the dot wins half of the money. The other half goes to the partner organization. Wolverines players will be assisting with cleaning the pucks up after Chuck-A-Puck has been completed.

To sign-up for Chuck-A-Puck at one of the Wolverines upcoming games, please contact Babcock via e-mail, hockey@calumetwolverines.com or phone, 612-747-9686. Full details are available at calumetwolverines.com.
