Calumet Wolverines start training camp
2016-10-07The 2016-17 hockey season is officially underway for the Calumet Wolverines Senior “A” Hockey Club as the team began training camp Monday night at the revamped Calumet Colosseum.
Training camp will take place throughout the month of October for the Wolverines and includes a total of six one-hour skates, and optional participation in the exhibition tournament Keevin Cup in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin the final weekend of October.
The Wolverines are a full check, adult, amateur hockey team that plays in the Great Lakes Hockey League. The team plays a 30-game schedule that begins with home games on the first weekend of November and includes travel as far south as West Bend and Madison, Wisconsin.
Anyone interested in playing is invited to attend camp. No RSVP required. Anyone with questions should call coach Bruce “Cukie” Coppo at (906) 369-1880.
