New GibsonCup.com launched with help from SmartCreative
2016-03-15The Gibson Cup is the third oldest hockey trophy in the United States, and as of March 2016 it has a brand new home on the web, a revamped gibsoncup.com.
The site was created by Houghton, Michigan marketing agency SmartCreative.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to lend a helping hand to the Gibson Cup, the Portage Lake Pioneers, Calumet Wolverines and Copper Country community as a whole,” SmartCreative owner Scott Niska said. “This Cup has so much history, and I’m proud of the work we’ve done here to showcase that history.”
Additional help was provided by Gowtham, Megan Lang and K-Bear 102.3 FM to make the website launch possible.
More importantly, none of this history would be possible without the hundreds of people who’ve kept the tradition going over the last 75+ years. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered, played, attended and most recently, the historical work by Connie Julien and Bob Erkkila. They’re archive of the Gibson Cup can be found in full at cchockeyhistory.org.
