Bombers and Bears drop Calumet in final road weekend
2016-03-06The Calumet Wolverines lost to the Fond du Lac Bears 6-3 Friday night and West Bend Bombers 10-4 Saturday night to fall to 8-14-2 on the season.
The two games were the Wolverines final road matches of the year. Calumet finished with a 4-8-1 road record.
The Wolverines will head back to Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula next weekend for the team’s final two games of the GLHL regular season, hosting Eagle River Friday night in Calumet and Mosinee Saturday night at Houghton County Arena in Hancock.
The Wolverines will clinch a playoff berth with one point on the weekend or a loss by the Monroe Blues.
