Hyrkas scores twice in Wolverines loss to Papermakers

Mosinee jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period Friday night, and despite a pair of goals by first-year forward Joe Hyrkas, the Wolverines couldn’t make a comeback, falling 7-4 to the visiting Papermakers.
The loss knocks the Wolverines down to 7-10-1, while the Papermakers kept pace with the GLHL-leading West Bend Bombers by moving to 14-3-0.
Calumet will remain at home next weekend as the team hosts the Fox Cities Ice Dogs Friday night and Bombers Saturday night. Both games will begin at 7:30 p.m.
