The Calumet Wolverines Senior “A” Hockey Team has finalized its 2015-16 schedule, including 13 home games, 26 Great Lakes Hockey League games, the 2016 Gibson Cup Series and the 2016 GLHL Tournament in De Pere, Wisconsin.
The Wolverines regular season kicks off Friday, October 30 in Calumet as the team renews hockey’s oldest rivalry with a battle against the Portage Lake Pioneers.
The Wolverines travel to play against the Marquette Iron Rangers the following weekend in the expansion squad’s inaugural contest.
Calumet is home for one game in November, three in December, two in January, four in February, two in March and an additional game for the Gibson Cup, which will be March 24-27 weekend. Exact times for the Gibson Cup will be announced at a later date.
The Wolverines final regular-season game is Saturday, March 12, and it will be played at Houghton County Arena due to ice availability.
